Ideal for large scale events, the Montgomery Suite is at the heart of the Stadium of Light. Boasting high ceilings to accommodate large productions and a moveable stage and dance floor, this suite comfortably holds up to 700 guests* for dinner or 600 guests to view presentations or conferences, proving hugely popular for events including exhibitions, trade shows, annual dinners and award ceremonies. Teaming up with the Executive Lounge by opening up the moveable walls, we can offer even more space, easily hosting around 90 exhibition stands. All of the adaptable event space on the first floor can link together for larger events, hosting 2,000 people in reception style and offering a major space for launches and gatherings. Clients can also use the entire first floor space (1,459 m²) for the same event, to breakout and create smaller groups to accommodate a variety of themes or productions. * When combined with Executive Lounge

With panoramic views across the River Wear, this light and airy suite is the perfect setting for any type of event and is unrivalled anywhere in the North East. An innovative space, combined with a touch of pure decadence, the Executive Lounge is ideal for business meetings, presentations and seminars, with state of the art conferencing equipment. The lounge offers a theatre facility for 100 guests with the benefit of lunch or dinner served in the same room. To really make an impression, the Executive Lounge can offer an eye-catching start to any event being held in the Montgomery Suite. Ideal for pre-event drinks receptions for up to 300 guests, a specially-designed moving wall can be opened up to reveal a complete dining experience as service is announced by your dedicated Master of Ceremonies.

An elegant, intimate room adorned with “magic moments” from the Club’s history, this suite is located in the centre of the first floor of the stadium and is adjacent to the Durham Suite, Banqueting Suite and Sports Bar. The Magic Moments Bar provides an ideal meeting place, drinks reception area or VIP lounge for up to 80/100 guests. It can also seat 30 guests in theatre-style or 50/60 guests for casual seating. It can be used for small gatherings, exhibitions or as a reception area for the adjacent suites.

The Sports Bar is a fantastic football-themed lounge, which boasts an abundance of historic Sunderland AFC memorabilia. It offers a unique venue for corporate or informal functions. The suite has a stylish centrepiece bar area and various sections within, making it ideal for informal functions or for breakout areas from a central presentation room. The room can hold up to 550 guests for a reception and seats 250 on a casual basis. It is popular as a refreshment room for large conferences and events and is also a favourite location for special celebrations and party events. The informal setting is ideal to break up a busy day or to relax and socialise after your event.

Any of our 54 executive boxes are available to hire on non-matchdays, and are ideally suited to small meetings of up to 25 people. All boxes look out across the hallowed turf and have their own balcony area. Boxes are ideal for meetings, small presentations, small gatherings and breakouts from main presentations, while our larger boxes are ideal for intimate wedding breakfasts, family gatherings or celebrations. Boxes have their own mini-bar facilities or, alternatively a personal drinks service can be provided.

The Black Cats Bar has a modern and stylish design, with an impressive capacity of 950. It boasts a glazed wall running the length of the Kronenbourg North Stand of the stadium and offers panoramic views of the pitch. Scoreboard messages can be displayed to add that special touch and the room offers a relaxing atmosphere in an excellent and unrivalled location. An ideal setting for social events/parties and exhibitions of various sizes, this room can be screened into sections for conferencing and is also a perfect room to use for refreshment breaks for large events. By night the view of the illuminated stadium inner bowl offers a unique backdrop, along with the featured lighting effects within the room, making it a great venue for your celebration event.

A wonderfully stylish yet contemporary location with an abundance of natural light, this stunning suite can hold up to 150 guests for theatre-style, over 90 guests cabaret-style set up and formal dinners for up to 150 guests. As a reception suite up to 250 guests can be accommodated. The impressive bar area with floor-to-ceiling cabinets displaying the wide range of quality wines on offer, acts as a focal point of the room. An adjoining outdoor balcony offers stunning panoramic views over the city and River Wear and is the ideal location for a break during your event. By night the suite transforms into a breathtaking setting for private dining, entertaining and celebration events. A wide range of service options can be offered within the suite, from canapés and finger buffets to silver and à la carte service.

The James Herriot Suite has luxurious furnishings and décor, offering superb views over the River Wear. With a private bar and its own outdoor balcony area, it is one of our best suites, appointed to the highest standard. Up to 80 people can be easily accommodated for a wedding reception or a dinner dance and the room is also a popular venue for medium-sized conferences and seminars, with capacity for 60 delegates seated theatre-style. The James Herriot Suite is one of the most exclusive venues within the Stadium of Light. The suite has its own marble top bar area, wall-mounted mirrors and stylish soft seating areas in which to relax. “

The Legends Lounge offers an great venue for private drinks receptions or small, informal meetings. The suite can accommodate up to 30 delegates and with its own private bar facilities it offers a casual and informal setting and seating for your gathering or reception. The Legends Lounge also provides the ideal location for refreshments when using the Fosters or Drumaville suites for your main meeting room.

The Heineken Lounge is a versatile meeting room, boasting its own private bar area within 78m2 of adaptable space.
