The Main Auditorium is the largest venue space within The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with seating for 2,475.
The Main Auditorium offers a superb venue space for concerts and conferences alike. Both the lighting and sound systems within the Auditorium have recently been upgraded with state of the art equipment – view full technical specifications.
There is a fully adaptable stage that can be adjusted using a hydraulic lift system, thus allowing numerous stage configurations of depths and levels including fully flat. View a stage plan.
Although most of the seating within the Auditorium is fixed, there are sections of seating that can be removed to create different layouts. Seating in the front arena section can be removed to create a standing area of 700 for concerts or it can be used as an unusual location for a banquet.
Linking all the spaces of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall are four extremely spacious foyers that surround the Main Auditorium. Each provides serviced bars and are ideal for associated exhibitions, workshops and catering for conferences.

The Buchanan Suite is an ideal room for smaller meetings. It is located on the 4th floor of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and overlooks our stunning Green Room Restaurant.
The Buchanan Suite does not have permanent sound however The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall’s expert Stage Department can set this up as required.
Included in the hire of the Suite is a 6’ screen with set, top table, lectern and delegate seating.
The Buchanan Suite has natural daylight and can be blacked out for presentations.

The Exhibition Hall is a multi purpose space located on the ground floor of the venue.
The Exhibition Hall does not have permanent sound however The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall’s expert Stage Department can set this up. We can provide a full conference set up for the room including set and screen, top table, lectern and delegate seating.
Included in the hire of the room are an 8’ x 6’ screen and set, top table, lectern and delegate seating. For exhibitions 6’ trestle tables and cloths can be provided – a maximum of 40 are available.
The room is an ideal venue for exhibitions offering easy access via get in doors or vehicles can offload from our North Entrance, at Killermont Street.
Like all of the other spaces within The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, additional space can be hired to create the ideal meeting venue tailored for your event. The Exhibition Hall is frequently used alongside our Island Bar, Main Foyer, Upper Foyers and Strathclyde Suite

The Strathclyde Suite has a maximum capacity of 500 in a theatre style format, with a fixed stage, optional dancefloor, removable seating and it’s own sound & lighting systems. The flexibility of this space allows it to be used for a wide range of events including concerts, conferences, exhibitions and banqueting events.
