The music room is also situated on the first floor, adjacent to Jane Austen Assembly Room One, was built slightly later than the main room in around 1780 and features a marble fireplace and five sash windows, overlooking the high street. In keeping with it’s name it is home to a J.L.Duysen (one of only three in the world) grand piano and has polished ancient oak floor boards and a central rug.
