About the venue

Blencowe Hall is Grade I listed and the restoration programme has brought the two derelict castellated towers back into use for the first time in 300 years.

Blencowe Hall is 5* rated by Quality in Tourism and has also won a Gold Award for exceptional quality in all areas, in particular with respect to service and hospitality. We have welcomed a number of corporate groups to Blencowe Hall and its cottages. The three adjoining cottages on this part of our estate, Cazenovia Hall (accommodates 8), Riverain (accommodates 6) and Wythburn (accommodates 6) are available for guest accommodation and entertainment. Altogether these four properties accommodate up to 44 guests based on double occupancy of the bedrooms. In terms of guests "sleeping singly" by which we mean guests sharing a bedroom if it has twin beds but not sharing if there is not an option for the guests to sleep in separate beds, we can accommodate up to 16 guests at Blencowe Hall, 6 at Cazenovia Hall, 5 at Riverain and 4 at Wythburn Cottage. We also have several catering options from providers we know well. I can recommend all of them wholeheartedly and they would be happy to work with you on menus etc. Unlike some of the bigger hotels and venues, we do not build in any sort of mark up on catering or wine corkage. We endeavour to be flexible on arrangements and would be happy to help with planning for your break and have a dedicated member of our team who works with our corporate and wedding guests. The formal Dining Room at Blencowe Hall has seating for up to 24 guests and we would be happy to help with additional table and chairs so that all members of your party are able to dine together. We would also be happy to provide easels to hold a whiteboard or large pad of paper and a printer for you to use during your break
