Welcome to Matlock’s newest community arts and entertainments venue, available for private hire and public events.

Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park in the historic market town of Matlock, and benefiting from flexible facilities, The Loft is the perfect place for your next event. The Loft offers a versatile event space for a range of different events and activities. There is an emphasis throughout the venue on creating cosy yet flexible spaces Our air-conditioned main room features a fully integrated sound and lighting system, a purpose built stage and retains the original parquet floor. We also have the benefit of a fully licensed bar featuring a bespoke wall mural by the talented local artist Lilly Hammond. The main room can accommodate up to 150 people seated, and up to 250 people for receptions. Adjoining the main room is our dedicated green room, the ideal space for storing all your event materials and equipment, or simply as a place to relax and prepare for a gig or show.
