HISTORY; Built in the 1812 this family manor stood within its privately owned gardens and acres of land, a hidden treasure of Scottish history, but by mid 1900's this proud Georgian manor was sadly left to neglect, becoming derelict until 1980; When an entrepreneur named Sergio Candusso recognised its once lived potential; And By 1983, with his vision to restore and convert this once used historical Scottish dwelling and its over grown gardens and grounds back to its original state and beauty, for the general public to enjoy; Continued in 1984 by his widow Angela; This family run hotel, of now three generations, has become part of ‘The Bankton House’ history, as it lends its self gracefully and generously to the public allowing its guests and visitors to experience and enjoy all that it offers; Bankton House is situated between the M8 (Glasgow to Edinburgh motorway) and the A71 Calder road into Edinburgh.
