About the venue

The Bush hotel is one of the oldest hotels within the Accor group with the earliest reference to it being the year 1618 as a coaching inn and its place in history is recorded by mention in Thackeray’s famous novel "The Virginians".

Sensitive restoration and care over the years has enabled the introduction of modern facilities within the hotel bedrooms and a dedicated Conference centre within the hotel grounds, whilst still retaining many original historic features. Today the hotel offers an outstanding environment for both business and pleasure. The cobble stoned courtyard patio and beautiful grounds have a timeless, peaceful ambience for enjoying a cool drink in fine weather. During the daytime activities can be organised to complement your conference or meeting, either inside the conference suite or outside on the hotel grounds. Off site activities can also be arranged and these include go-karting, paintball, golf, tours of the renowned Hogs Back Brewery, and a visit to the Watercress Line to re-live the days of steam trains. Evening entertainment and private dining can be arranged in the Oak Lounge, The Garden Room Restaurant or within one of our conference suites, depending on your numbers and requirements. Meeting and Events The Bush Hotel has 6 dedicated meeting rooms to suite every need and size of meeting. These are located within our dedicated conference centre in the hotel gardens, and benefit from natural daylight, air conditioning and Wi-Fi access throughout.
