Built in 1561, the Cornwallis Country Hotel is a wonderful retreat offering food and drink of exceptional quality and superb accommodation.

Nestled in over twenty acres of gardens, amongst splendid yew topiaries and a picturesque water garden is The Cornwallis Hotel. This original dower house oozes charm and character. Each if the 16 en-suite bedrooms at the hotel are individually furnished with some fine antique pieces to complement the historic ambience. If you appreciate informal yet refined hospitality combined with a beautifully understated elegance, then you’ll find The Cornwallis very special indeed. The Garden Room is a comfortable room for up to 20 people boardroom style The Oaksmere Suite comfortably accommodates 80 people for a sit down meal. Opening onto the Conservatory, this can be extended to 110 people. The Garden Room is immediately next door to the Oaksmere Suite and with two door access creates a natural area for evening dances
