About the venue

The ‘Grittleton House Stables’ complex is a converted Victorian stables, originally built to service Grittleton House in its hay day.

Situated away from the main house with its own driveway, allows for independent and private use. Situated in a small village just of the M4 at junction 17 we are easy to get to and offer a unique and interesting venue to host your event The ‘Stables’ comprises of a several different buildings situated around a courtyard. Principally for conference use we have the ‘Carriage House’. Here we can cater for approximately 100 for theatre style events or around 50 – 100 depending on configuration, sitting at tables. Adjacent is the ‘Tower House’ which houses the restaurant and the lounge on the ground floor. On the first floor and also across the courtyard in the ‘Stable’ accommodation wing are the ensuite bedrooms. For groups wishing to include team building exercises we have close by Castle Comb race track and skid pan and also indoor go carting at Hulavington, Castle Combe golf course and the driving range at Yatton Keynell are all only a few minutes away. Further activities can be provided by request. Here at ‘the Stables’ we can cater to suite your needs from sandwiches and cakes to two or three course meals with beverages to suit.
