Steeped in history, our stunningly restored Grade 1 country house is nestled in unspoilt Grade 2 listed parkland and acres of peaceful Sussex woodland and countryside.

Built in 1722 for the Pelham Family, who owned it until 1947, and set in Stanmer Park – the City’s largest park – it’s the perfect venue for all seasons. Now part of the Proud Group, Proud Country House has been recently restored and sensitively modernised, with a large private garden and marquee; a unique venue just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the City of Brighton and Hove. Our elegant meeting and event rooms are ideal for conferences, meetings, training days or private events. Plenty of additional rooms for small group work, including our peaceful private garden. Light catering or formal dining, all the facilities and technology you would expect from a modern day meetings venue, Proud Country House is the perfect, versatile venue for your specific needs.
