The Gleneagles Hotel, just one hour's drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, was built by the Old Caledonian Railway Company in 1924 in the heart of a beautiful Scottish glen. Set in an 850-acre estate with its own railway station, it immediately won fame as one of the world's finest hotels.

This atmospheric room is a bold addition to the corporate offering at Gleneagles. It was here that the hotel received its wines by rail from all over Europe - and you can still see those original railway bays while you dine. Decorated with artefacts and archive material from throughout the hotel's history, it's ideally suited to wine and spirit tastings, intimate dinners, cocktail parties and canapé receptions. Whether you want to hold a formal multi-course, silver service dinner or a more informal affair with quirky dishes such as traditional British fish suppers with a twist, our chefs can design a menu which is sure to delight.
