It’s ideal for everything from evening drinks to business networking sessions also available from 6.30pm The conference centre is available for exclusive hire, or each room can be hired individually on a full day or half day hire. Our conference rooms all include state-of-the-art AV as well as complimentary Wi-Fi.     We have hosted a range of events from conferences, meetings, networking events, award ceremonies, private dinners, Christmas and Summer parties. We can host private or Corporate events! The three stylish Terrace Rooms provide an ideal venue for a daytime meeting, with natural daylight, presentation equipment and designer furniture throughout. The Terrace Rooms also look over our private terrace area which offers a tranquil and peaceful setting for breaks. The Terrace Gallery is also a popular space for dinners, using the adjacent Garden Room for arrival drinks and dancing. The rooms have natural daylight, air conditioning and disabled access and are located in front of the tranquil surroundings of a private garden with a beautiful old Horse chestnut tree as the centrepiece. As a not-for-profit organisation, all monies raised from events at at our venues are used to preserve the artefacts in our collections and the history of London for future generations.

Our beautiful waterside Victorian building offers character in abundance. It is situated in an urban beauty spot that surprises with tranquillity despite its close and convenient proximity to King’s Cross and St. Pancras International stations, which are just a short walk away. Transport could hardly be better; there are direct rail links to Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Paris, many parts of England and most parts of London within walking distance. Plentiful street parking is available after 1830. There are main galleries on two floors and a smaller conference room on the first floor. The ground floor gallery is ideal for receptions, networking, refreshment breaks, and buffet meals in impressive surroundings. The first floor offers a large space with a splendid Victorian timber roof for your presentation, conference, dinner or party. You are free to choose your own outside caterer for anything from sandwiches to a five-course dinner. The wharf area outside with its colourful vista across the canal basin may be used for drinks and fresh air. We are well equipped for business events and most audio-visual needs can be met in-house. We are a Wi-Fi hotspot. Access for disabled people is excellent. The building was built in the 1860s as an ice warehouse and guests can peer down into a huge illuminated ice well, uniquely preserved beneath the floor. The decor is traditional brick and the exhibitions add colour and charm. The facilities are modern. In-house furniture is available for cabaret-style conferences and for dinners. Mooring available for arrival/departure by boat. Availability: Small meetings (maximum 20) hosted at any time on any day.     For an atmosphere of tradition and a sense of history the Central Hall, with its dramatic sweeping staircase, soaring gothic arches and intricately carved terracotta stonework offers an unrivalled setting for a large scale dinner or cocktail party. Situated in the heart of the original Victorian building this room offers a light and airy space suitable for group workshops and seated buffet lunches. It can be hired on it's own or in conjunction with the Flett Events Theatre. For a conference lunch with a difference take your delegates back in time to From the Beginning. This gallery tells the story of our planet from the big bang to potential burn out and can be hired exclusively as a venue for your buffet lunch.     The Lilian Baylis Theatre is a purpose built studio theatre housed within the complex at Sadler's Wells. With retractable seating available for 200, this space provides event organisers with an intimate and versatile venue suitable for conferences, product launches, awards ceremonies and seminars. As a fully working theatre the space also lends itself perfectly to smaller performances of dance, opera or drama. The hire of the theatre includes three backstage rooms, which can be used as professional dressing rooms, or as an organiser's office and speakers retiring rooms. The venue is fully accessible for people with physical and sensory disabilities. The theatre accommodates 200 seated theatre style in raked seating, whilst also providing a presentation area in front of the audience of 15m x 9m, thereby giving ample room for back projection. The seating retracts fully to create a flat floor space for board room or cabaret-style meetings. As a self contained area the Lilian Baylis theatre is perfect for evening receptions and for themed dinner parties. Seating for such events is to a maximum of 160 people on round tables of 10, or 100 for dinner dances. Alternatively, as a reception style space for up to 350. Outside the theatre are two convenient areas for use as registration and the nearby Stage door café provides refreshment and light snacks which can be purchased throughout the day. Garden Court This light and airy space gives an additional area in which to serve reception drinks prior to any evening event and can also be used for pre and post show parties around a performance or evening meeting. Technical Support There is an on-site technician for the Lilian Baylis theatre included in the hire fee, to ensure events run smoothly and professionally.
