    A friendly welcome awaits you at Ashton & Lea Golf Club in Preston. Long established in the Lancashire area, the club is renowned for its excellent catering and has put together a superb value for money package for visiting golfers. Golfers can enjoy unlimited golf, coffee and biscuits on arrival, sandwiches and chips for lunch and a three course dinner. Ashton & Lea's impressive clubhouse was extended in 1994 and offers a great standard of comfort for members and visitors alike with its well appointed lounge and bar area. The course itself measures 6290 yards from the white tees (Par 71), 6094 from the yellows tees (Par 71) and 5479 from the ladies tees (Par 72). Ashton & Lea is a fairly flat course and provides a fair test of golf for players of all abilities, but it is a course that requires the player to think and plot their way round. The area is famed for its great golf courses and Ashton & Lea is amongst the best of them and well worth a visit. Daily green fees are at a competitive rate and the club is always keen to promote junior golf and youngsters can play the course for half the adult rate.

    Fence Gate Inn As it stands today the Fence Gate is a beautifully restored three storey building built towards the end of the 17th Century. It had been a house to local squires until the 1850’s when a wealthy cotton merchant Mr Hartley purchased the property and ran his business from the house. Some thirty years ago the house was purchased from a doctor and his family and converted into a small restaurant. In 1982 the present owner purchased the property and extensively modernised transforming this beautiful building to an Inn. The addition of two banqueting suites the Cromdale Room and Patio Suite accommodate up to 400 guests, and more recently a modern 104 seater brasserie was added to our comfortable Public Bar. Today Fence Gate has an enviable reputation for its hospitality, excellent food, fine wines and traditional ales and is also proud to be part of ‘Made in Lancashire’. Our professional team of event co-ordinators are always on hand to help you with your preparations before the event, to greet you on arrival and ensure your event receives the highest levels of customer care throughout. Of the packages available our Day Delegate consists of 3 servings of tea and coffee, 2 course buffet or soup and sandwich lunch, use of flipchart , pads and pens, mineral water and boiled sweets. Half day morning and afternoon sessions are also available. Our Cromdale Room has a sound system and portable microphones. A full range of Audio Visual equipment is also available for hire.
