In that year, Charles II first used it for guests who could not be accommodated in Hampton Court Palace, located opposite the hotel. Three and a half centuries later, the building is still being used for guests, but now, an historic hotel with modern four-star comfort. At the Carlton Mitre Hotel, you will feel like royalty. The Mitre Hotel has a magnificent location on the banks of the River Thames. From the hotel, you have a view of the river and of Hampton Court Palace. Our local train station, Hampton Court station, is only a two minute walk away and will take you to Wimbledon, Kew Gardens, the heart of London, Sandown horse racing and local historic market towns. The Pavilion, with a glass roof (light can be excluded) and air conditioning, looks out on the Thames and can accommodate up to 120 persons.
