    Dr Johnson's House is one of the few residential houses of its age still surviving in the City of London. Built in 1700, it was a home and workplace for Samuel Johnson 1748-1759, and it was here that he compiled the first comprehensive English Dictionary. Now restored to its original condition, the house contains panelled rooms, a pine staircase, and a collection of period furniture, prints and portraits. Situated to the north of Fleet Street, the house is found among a maze of courtyards and passages that are a reminder of historic London. Dr Johnson’s House provides a unique and welcoming historical backdrop for a wide variety of events. Perfectly situated with easy access to both the City and West End, the four-storey historic house can be hired exclusively for your event. The house has hosted a wide range of events including drinks receptions, book launches, corporate entertaining, private parties and evening dinners.     ll Bottaccio is a stunning C19th French Renaissance building that overlooks Buckingham Palace Gardens. It is a majestic, elegant and exclusive setting that has been the glitzy venue of choice for L'Oreal, London Fashion Week, the BBC and Deutsche Bank. Il Bottaccio offers two galleries and two entrances; it is a flexible venue suitable for almost any occasion. ll Bottaccio's Grand Gallery is a sophisticated but light space that provides either a simple backdrop to your event or, a neutral setting perfect for bespoke decoration. The floor length windows flood the room with light that illuminates the high ceilings, white panelled walls and polished wooden floor. The stunning simplicity of the Grand Gallery has made it a favourite location for exclusive fashion shows for over a decade. The Gallery has hosted a number of London Fashion Week shows for designers such as De Beers and Gucci. The tall white walls provide clean backdrops that allow dramatic lighting installations, enable photographers to capture brilliant action shots and focus all attention onto the action within the room. In contrast, the Club Gallery offers a more sumptuous area in which to indulge your guests. The oak paneled room is lined with wine racks and furnished with luxurious red curtains and carpets. The Club Gallery is made for a wine tasting, reception, lunch, dinner or, down-to-business meeting. Whereas the Grand Gallery may host up to 400 guests, the Club Gallery hosts a more intimate 150 standing guests or 60 seated guests.
