Set up by the owners of The House in Islington it brings a top class eating and drinking establishment to the businesses and residents of Highgate. Like The House in Islington, the emphasis is on food. Executive Head Chef, Jeremy Hollingsworth, who gained a Michelin star for Marco Pierre White’s Quo Vadis in 1997, will be cooking a menu of simple European dishes, mostly British with a strong French influence. Everything is home-made on the premises from the best quality ingredients in season. The Bull is open for lunch and dinner. There are daily specials running alongside the seasonally changing A La Carte and, during the week, an Express Lunch will be served at a great value £14.95 for two courses and £17.95 for three. The Bull is a free house. It serves Staropramen, Stella and Leffe lager on tap and two cask ales, Timothy Taylors and Highgate I.P.A. As well as the usual excellent quality spirits and minerals, The Bull has a liqueur trolley with speciality Armagnac, Cognac and Eaux de Vie. The extensive wine list devised by top Sommelier, Joelle Marti Baron incorporates some fine vintage wines for the ‘Extravaganza’ section. The Bull has two floors. On the ground floor is the ‘dining room’, an open plan room with extensive banquette seating, bespoke wooden tables, a mahogany bar and a real fire. The room is informal and intimate and perfect for dining. In the Summer, windows and doors fold back onto the outside terrace for al fresco dining. The first floor is the ‘pub’ with beautiful floor to ceiling windows, open fire, cherry wood bar and more relaxed furnishings mixing traditional and modern. This room also houses an original American pool table and an open fire. FUNCTIONS Meetings, parties and weddings are happily catered for. The Bull has a private dining room which can seat 20 people for a sit-down meal. Set menus from £30, £35 and £50. The first floor can be closed off for private parties or the whole venue can be hired exclusively. We will organise canapés or a buffet for groups of 25 people or more.
