The Conservative Club is located in the heart of the bustling, lakeland market town of Penrith. We are within 3 minutes of the M6 and 10 minutes walk from the mainline railway station. We are also close to many hotels if you require accommodation, and within easy reach of lakes Ullswater and Haweswater if you want some outward bound water based team building exercises! The Club is, of course, very close to the beautiful lakeland mountains (4 miles) and the North Pennines (7 miles) if you want to explore the fabulous views after a rigorous day of conference! The club has two stunning conference venues, both having their own integral break out and syndicate spaces. There is also ample adjacent public parking to the rear of the club. The Churchill Suite is very versatile and can seat up to 160 delegates theatre style or 40 in a boardroom style. Due to the arrangement of the room there are several break out and syndicate areas situated in the room, but away from the main conference area. For evening events the suite can accommodate up to 180 people comfortably and is fully ventilated. It has direct access to outside, it’s own bar and of course ample toilet facilities. The Wordsworth Room is a delightful room overlooking Crown Square, it can comfortably accommodate up to 30 delegates theatre style or 16 in the boardroom style. It has alcove seating around the room which makes ideal space for syndicate or break out area’s. The room is equipped with it’s own bar and toilet facilities and is fully ventilated.
