The hall is managed and owned by the same family for over 25 years. The hall has been used locally and also been recognised throughout the borough, and surrounding areas. Our clientele have come from all over the northwest and many other regions. We have opened the doors to many people from all ages and all walks of life, we have worked with so many different cultures, it is a very cosmopolitan place. Castlemere banqueting hall has three exclusive halls available for you to choose for your own personal requirement. We offer our clientele a full package service on our hall hire facilities, ensuring that our clients’ needs are met. The banqueting hall is a room of commanding proportions and scale being 38 metres by 14.4 metres wide.6.8 meters through two floors in height with a balcony at the south end at first floor level. The hall comfortably accommodates 580 people dining or 600-700 dancing, and a hardwood floor fully sprung over the dancing area. The banqueting hall, the chisham stone walls have deeply recessed tapering windows on either side. Below the windows the names of past mayors, lord mayors and sheriffs, and the roll of honorary freeman are engraved, giving the hall historic interest dating back to 1816. The banqueting hall has 6 deeply recessed stone arches to the east of the hall. A feature in the arches is the retractable cast aluminium grilles of varying designs, by Geoffrey Clarke. The hall also has a fully equipped kitchen and can cater for any size function. You may even do your own arrangements prior to agreement booking with management.     The Mechanics Centre is located in Manchester city centre (near to the corner of Portland Street and Princess Street). Close by is Chorlton Street Bus Station and Piccadilly Gardens/Bus Station. The Mechanics Institute is a grade II listed building it is best known as the birthplace of the TUC which was founded in the building in 1868. It is also the birthplace of the Co-operative Insurance Society and UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology) The small Manchester Mechanics' Institute was established in 1824 entirely through private initiative and funds to teach artisans the basic principles of science by part-time study. Several Manchester men met in the Bridgewater Arms in High Street to establish the Mechanics' Institute in Manchester, where artisans could be taught by part-time study the basic principles of science - the science being mechanics and chemistry. Of the hundreds of such institutions founded around that time it alone has survived to date as an autonomous body.

Examination rooms, Exhibition rooms etc. We have recently refurbished part of the top floor to encompass a Conference centre, this comprises of one large conference suite along with 5 smaller syndicate rooms. Within this rate, unlimited tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, brownies, toast, cereal, soft drinks and snacks are provided. For meetings, 100mb non-shared wifi and projection equipment is available at no extra cost. Ziferblat is an innovative response to the growing complexity of consumer and industry demands in urban areas. This allows for ultimate flexibility for meetings, workshops, conferences and events. The venue mirrors an oversized city centre flat with an alternative and homely style for use as our guests see fit. There are 5 rooms available, all with different styles, sizes and layouts. The Studio This room mirrors that of an art studio with minimal decoration to maximise the potential to customise the layout. A long and airy space with plenty of natural light that allows for presentations in theatre style as well as other formats. The Classroom Decorated as a primary school classroom, this room comes complete with a 9ft-rolling blackboard. The room has plenty of natural light and is ideal for training and workshops. The Meeting Room Fondly named after our founder, Ivan Meetin, this room resembles our Russian roots. Though the layout can be changed, this room usually sits in a cabaret format with a homely creative ambiance. The Dining Room This room is set up in boardroom style and over decorated in the style of a vintage dining room from the 1970s. Our 20-bulb chandelier in the centre makes for quite an impression! The Sitting Room A huge 3000sqft sitting room with a self contained kitchen and balcony on a comfortable and private first floor location. This space is usually open to the public but can be rented privately. All rooms are charge at the Ziferblat rate, with a minimum spend applied dependent on the total capacity of the room.
