Mottisfont Abbey’s history shows, quite simply, that it is a perfect place for meetings and fine dining. It has been said that Saxon freemen may have held their village moots, or meetings on this site before the Priory was built in 1201 by William Briwere, trusted advisor to Richard the Lionheart. The monks started offering hospitality about 800 years ago to visiting pilgrims. Then, in the last century, it became something of a retreat for the London social circle, which included George Bernard Shaw. Today you can continue this fine tradition of socialising in a fabulous setting, redolent with history and surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland Corporate hospitality Mottisfont Abbey has a wide choice of distinctive rooms offering great flexibility. It is particularly ideal for entertaining guests for dinner in the Dining Room or for holding a drinks reception in the Long Gallery. Alternatively the Stag Hunting Room is the perfect base for a breakfast or lunch before going fishing on the River Test in the Abbey grounds.

Who We Are.... By day, The 'Cellar is a light, open plan bar with a relaxing background of cool jazz or sweet soul music to compliment our freshly prepared food and extensive selection of wines and imported beers. Friday and Saturday nights, the 'Cellar is transformed, with an intense atmosphere created by some of the UK's top dance floor Jazz/ Funk/ Soul/ Rare Groove, Boogaloo bands and MCs. Why not bring your own Event to the Cellar!?! and other corporate events or conferences. We have many years successful experience with Parties, Gigs, Wedding Receptions, Meetings et al. We have a capacity in the Main room for 110 guests and in the Cellar Bar for 100 guests, a full PA system which is operated by our experienced sound technicians and Fully Licensed Bars on both floors. We will supply a Licensed SIA security supervisor for the night and our available opening hours are: 12am – 2am, Sunday thru Thursday, (Friday and Saturday, 12am – 8pm). Weekend Nights are available for hire in the Loft. For these ‘very popular’ nights we have arranged a very special deal… For a totally private hire on these nights the cost to our guests would be extremely high, so we have arranged for you to hire our venue on Friday & Saturday evenings from 7pm – 10.30pm. From 10.30pm – 2am all your guests are welcome to stay and party, however, we open the Loft to our other guests. This guarantees all your guests get into the Venue and allows them the freedom to enjoy the entertainment on both floors for the whole night. We have been running these nights for over three years now to great acclaim. We have many DJ’s / Bands on our books which we will arrange for your event, if required and can supply DJ equipment, Microphones etc to hire for extremely competitive rates.
