    Wedderburn is an exceptional venue for all kinds of events and celebrations, for example anniversaries, re-unions, meetings and corporate entertainment. The castle has a great sense of grandeur, although there is no sense of oppressive ostentation. The interior is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing, and all rooms retain original fixtures and furnishings. The castle is a private house, only available on an exclusive rental basis, and there will be no other paying guests here during your stay. It is not a hotel; there is no reception desk and the atmosphere is completely informal. There are five reception rooms that are vast by modern standards, and these are all available for your use, if required. All of the reception rooms are on the first floor, and include the ballroom, dining room, drawing room, morning room, and gallery. All the modern comforts that one would expect have been successfully incorporated without detracting from the character of the house and the relaxing atmosphere which visitors continually comment upon and enjoy so much. Twenty-two adults and up to six children can comfortably be accommodated in fourteen bedrooms. The maximum size of your party must not exceed 28 guests.

    The beautiful seventeenth century Drawing Room is used as the main Conference area, accommodating up to 24 delegates in a 'hollow-square' layout, or up to 50 in a theatre setting. It has an adjoining room suitable for 'break-out' groups or the service of Tea and Coffee throughout the day. Two further 'break-out' areas are available if required. Luncheon is served in the Dining Room. Over-night accommodation can be provided for a limited number of delegates, but arrangements can be made with nearby hotels (The town of Largs is under 2 miles from Kelburn) if the number of delegates is too great. The Drawing Room is used as the main reception area. A tour of the Castle can be included, if requested, given by a trained Guide, or by Lady Glasgow, if available. There is a Billiard Room available for the delegates, and the extensive grounds can be used for a wide variety of activities. (See under Corporate Training Days). Delegates may use the Largs, Pro-Am, Golf Course. Basic conference equipment (flip charts, projector and screen, Fax and E-mail) is included in the daily facility fee, and further equipment can be provided on request, at an additional charge.

Lunches Similar arrangements to the dinners can be offered, for less formal events more guests can be seated cafe style. Although the Scottish weather can be unpredictable both lunches and dinners can be served on the balconies, The West Balcony has views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and beyond and can host up to 100 seated guests.     Since the Peña Family moved in to the 55 room historic 15th Century story book Castle in 1984, there have been many requests for entry to it from all over the world - including from as far a field as Australia.
