These wonderful buildings, centred around a huge 16th century timber-framed barn, host a wide range of exciting events including art exhibitions, music concerts, literary events, theatre, cinema, educational workshops and much more. It's also the perfect venue for your wedding or conference. Weddings - Select a wedding package or simply hire the venue, choose your own suppliers, create your own theme. Beautiful, tranquil grounds, ideal for all budgets and styles of civil ceremony and/or reception. Weekday ceremonies and late bookings always considered. The best alternative to a registry office or marquee. We have four conference and exhibition spaces: The Great Barn can accommodate up to 120 people. Gallery 1 is suitable for up to 25 people. Gallery 2 is suitable for up to 60 people. Workshop 4 is suitable for up to 30 people. Organisations, artists and community groups can hire any of these to put on their own events. We also have extensive gardens, overnight accommodation and free, easy car parking.

The Waterfront bistro has a truly stunning location on the marina in Ipswich. The building is an original Victorian warehouse with steel columns and stock brickwork.The decor is contemporary and welcoming. The corporate bookings have exclusive use of the building to ensure privacy. Our restaurant converts into a boardroom or classroom style presentation area with tea/coffee available all day. We have facilities for wifi,tripod stands and projector screens. During the lunch break delegates go down stairs to the bar area for a buffet lunch which can include hot dishes if required. If weather permits there is outside seating next to the water. This venue is privately owned and the staff really do make an effort.When organising an event we are totally flexible. There are many hotels nearby including the four star boutique hotel (The salt house Harbour} within a two minute walk which gives us preferential rates for our delegates.

The John Milton Room: The large ornate room that is now known as the John Milton Room was built in the middle of the 19th century as a ballroom for the Reverend Hollingsworth and today is the venue for Council meetings, civil ceremonies and conferences. This room is ideal for formal meetings and small functions, can seat appoximately 20 people and is £12 per hour. Bookings can be made during the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that the Tudor Room and Dining Room are no longer available for hire.
