They didn’t build 17th century farm houses in town centres. When we say The Marston Farm Hotel is in the country, we mean deep in the country. But it’s still only a quarter of an hour from the NEC and it’s well worth finding. For this was the ancestral home of Sir Robert Peel, the founder of Her Majesty’s constabulary, which is why they’re called Bobbies. In its 9 acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside, you’re on the Birmingham-Fazeley canal. When did you last take a towpath walk? Just smell the honeysuckle and the grass; nectar. The hotel has inglenook fireplaces, original rafters, wattle and daub, a pretty courtyard for quaffing away during the summer and armchairs so deep you’re asleep before you’ve come to rest. There’s a lovely permanent marquee for weddings as well. So the key question is, why bother to put up with the noise and pollution of city life if you can settle back in the countryside and take it really easy? Oh, and there’s a tennis court as well.

The House provides a unique and stylish venue for business meetings, corporate events and receptions. Facilities for hire include one or more of the individual rooms as described in the pages to the left. For larger functions the whole House can be hired. Lecture room facilities and refreshments can also be provided.

Catton Hall is a country house venue close to Birmingham in the Midlands, UK. Catton has been in the hands of the same family since 1405 and the present Hall was built on the banks of the River Trent in 1745. This is a very private venue in a highly accessible location. It has beautifully proportioned, elegant Reception Rooms ideal for day and residential business meetings, presentations, corporate lunches, dinners and multi-activity days. Upstairs there are three four-poster and five twin-bedded rooms all with private bath/shower rooms. The main Dining Room accommodates 10-50 guests, and a wide variety of musical entertainment can be organised as well as murder mystery evenings, mini operas, magicians and fireworks. The house opens straight out onto the Gardens and Park beyond, where marquees of any size can be erected. There is endless space for activities of all sorts including those for team building and command tasks.
