Stage Coaches used to call regularly at this hostelry which dominates the Market Square of this homely town, and an inn has graced the site since Tudor times.

Until 1914 The Bell brewed its own beer on the premises, refusing to be tied to any commercial brewery. Today it retains it s independence by remaining a free house and selling the beer it chooses. Conference Room The Bell has one large room conference room measuring 8m x 14m, this room can hold from 5 to 100 delegates (depending on the layout of the room you require). This large room can be portioned into two smaller rooms each measuring 7m x 8m, these smaller rooms can hold from 5 to 40 delegates.
