The ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland for one thousand years. Currently the family home of the 11th Duke, Duchess and their young family. The name Belvoir means 'beautiful view' and dates from Norman times. The Castle occupies a commanding position with breath- taking views across the Vale of Belvoir. Welcome to Belvoir... The Castle and surrounding parklands are available for a range of events ranging from an intimate dinner in the State Dining Room to a conference or marquee event in the park. In recent months the Castle and Park have been host to a broad range of diverse events & activities; dinners, receptions, presentations, conferences, auctions, product launches, filming, Corporate days out, a motor rally & a Prom Concert to mention but a few. Belvoir is situated conveniently just 2 1/2 hours from London by road, 7 miles from the A1 at Grantham, 75 minutes from London Kings Cross by train and 1 hour from East Midlands International Airport. Ample parking is provided both adjacent to the Castle and in the visitor's car park below the Castle.
