About the venue

The first written mention of the company dates back to 1499, when the maltster Vít Skřemenec bought the house.

Pivovar U Fleků is one of the few breweries in Central Europe where beer has been brewed without a break for more than 500 years. With the advent of communism, the company was nationalized. The original owners (the Brtník family) got it back after the fall of the regime in 1991. The atmosphere of the ancient house is underlined by the decoration and stylish furnishings of the inn's rooms and all the halls. From the most famous and distinctive hall of the Academy, where famous figures of Czech culture met in the last century, through the Wenceslas with colorful stained glass windows to the Knight's Hall modified and furnished in a romantic spirit. Our brewery restaurant offers pleasant seating for approximately 1,100 visitors in eight halls and in the outdoor garden. For many guests, we are a place of pilgrimage for Prague and Czech brewers. Others see us as a historical monument of tourist interest and the most famous Prague pub. But the U Fleků brewery and restaurant is also a place for culinary experiences. The staff of our modern kitchen will satisfy the demands of even the most picky gourmets by offering traditional old Bohemian dishes. Thanks to this, the Fleków restaurant is an ideal environment for organizing themed celebrations, banquets, cocktails, corporate events, New Year's celebrations and social gatherings. In addition, we will be happy to prepare a cultural or musical program for you in the Cabaret hall, which we will take care of in terms of program and gastronomy.
