St John's College stands in the shadow of Durham Cathedral, set within a World Heritage Site, the college offers a unique and extremely interesting venue for a variety of conferences and special functions! The College is situated in the historical heart of one of England's most striking cities! CONFERENCES St John's offers a choice of function rooms.
Leech Hall opened in 1987 by the late Queen Mother, is our most recent building and accommodates up to 250 people in a variety of layouts. Used during term time as both a cultural and recreational facility, it is an ideal venue for the plenary sessions of large conferences. The hall is fitted with a public address system and induction loop. We also have fully equipped seminar rooms, seating between 25 and 60 depending on whether a formal or informal seating style is desired. The College also offers a number of smaller meeting and seminar rooms which can be equipped with a wide selection of audio-visual aids.
