Deakin is a well established suburb and is home to the Prime Minister’s Lodge, the Royal Australian Mint and Parliament House. The centre of Canberra is only a short drive from Deakin as are some of Canberra’s best attractions – such as Questacon, the National Zoo & Aquarium, the National Gallery of Australia, the National Museum of Australia and many others. For the 18 hole fanatics two of Canberra’s best golf courses, Royal Canberra and Federal are virtually either side of the motel.
