About the venue

Since the beginning in 1838, the hotel has housed the middle class as well as the royal pioneers and cultural personalities.

Famous people such as Johanne Louise Heiberg, H. C. Andersen and all the way to Louis Armstrong have lived here. With the extensive renovation set place by the hotels current owner, Jens Richard Pedersen for the 2nd time since he took ownership in 1938, Hotel Royal places itself among the elite. Belonging to Hotel Royal is also the winter garden restaurant called Queens Garden as well as the beautiful international Royal Casino which opened in 1991.
