Part of The Hoxton hotel, this all-day venue from the Soho House group blends classic diner chic with on-trend Shoreditch edginess.

The large, buzzy space is kitted out with red leather booths and low lighting for a grown-up, American diner vibe. The menu is peppered with US classics, from starters of honey-glazed chicken wings with just the right amount of spice, to the obligatory lineup of steaks, burgers and stacked sandwiches. On our visit, the NY strip steak with rosemary salt was a little too tough, but a large portion and the mini-bucket of thick, crispy fries which arrives alongside compensated. Desserts come in gut-busting, Stateside-style portions too, a warm chocolate brownie with a dollop of mint ice cream placing us firmly in a food coma. The USA is also a key player on the fairly priced wine list, while a list of classic cocktails will assist those looking to really let loose. Fair pricing and cheery service from staff who know their way around the menu help make this a solid shout for a causal Shoreditch bite.
