About the venue

Built around 1415, this medieval Hall is one of York’s buildings of historical importance.

Set within the wall of the City of York, and carefully restored in recent times, the hall provides a magnificent venue for banquets, weddings, concerts, meetings, private dinners, exhibitions and conferences. All rooms benefit from natural daylight, and the Great Hall has an impressive high ceiling, exposing medieval oak beams. The central fireplace provides a functional focal point for the room and, when lit, creates an even more convivial atmosphere to any event. The two main rooms are on ground level, ensuring easy access for visitors in wheelchairs.
