Built in the 1880s the romantic nineteenth century gothic revival architecture is symbolic of the academic traditions of Oxford and Cambridge. The historic gardens give way to graceful arches and turrets of sandstone, and a clock tower dominates Parkville’s tree filled skyline. Adjacent to the University of Melbourne and a fifteen-minute tram ride from Melbourne CBD, Ormond College is within walking distance from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Lygon Street and a number of major Melbourne cultural attractions.
