Paddington Town Hall is less than 5km from the CBD, in the heart of Sydney’s fashionable Paddington district.
It was completed in 1891 in a Municipal Renaissance style exhibiting typical Victorian grandeur. The site is adjacent to the Victoria Barracks and it was built on the top of the ridge to allow the clock tower to majestically rise above the surrounding neighbourhood. The Clock Tower was completed in 1905 to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII with an inscribed clock face in his honour. The Main Hall is a grand setting for major events with 9 metre high ceilings and warm timber floors, ideal for large scale dinners for up to 500 guests, 600 guests theatre style or 750 guests cocktail style.
