The Samling is perched just above the shores of Lake Windermere & is surrounded by 67 acres of beautiful woodlands, fields & landscaped gardens.

The hotel is a unique destination for business & pleasure & boasts an award-winning restaurant; individually designed bedrooms; a stylish meeting room, which can hold up to 14 people with all the technology a forward-thinking company would expect; & a Dutch barn that can hold up to 50 people. The Samling is an ideal venue to take over exclusively for events. It is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies & is also a stunning venue to get married. Guests can, for instance, erect a marquee on the beautiful grounds. The friendly & enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude of the experienced staff, coupled with contemporary style, all make for brilliantly organised & unforgettable events. Most important decisions are made while fishing… A confidential board meeting away from the office. A weekend as a reward for your group’s hard work. A small conference or a secret merger summit. The Samling is well suited for all of them. Secluded and peaceful, it offers complete privacy and a perfect place to do important business without any of the usual distractions. And while you’re miles from the nearest city, you’ll have all the facilities essential to the way you do your business. Take the Conference Centre in the old stables for example. It seats fourteen people in complete comfort. It is equipped and regularly updated with all the audio-visual and communication tools that a forward-looking company expects. Or, on a more intimate level, there are a number of syndicate rooms for smaller meetings. While, a few yards away, The Dutch Barn Theatre can comfortably seat up to sixty delegates. Perhaps it’s these first class facilities that explain why so many of our guests decide to return to The Samling. More likely, it’s the opportunity to mix business with the pleasure of a unique country hideaway.
