The Hotel provides the general equipment needed in the meeting areas, ie. TV, video, OHP, screen and flipcharts. These facilities are included in the room rate. Other equipment can easily be hired. Bottled mineral water, squashes, mints, pads and pencils are always on our conference tables compliments of the Hotel. All rooms have good daylight and easy access for off-loading equipment etc.

    Welcome to the Haldon Belvedere! Devon's most sought after venue is perched high on Haldon Hill and stands in 5 acres of woodland in the heart of the lovely Devon countryside some 6 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter. From its vantage-point, panoramic views extending to Dartmoor, Exmoor, the South Hams, the Exe valley and estuary can be seen. On a really clear day, the Isles of Purbeck and Portland Bill in Dorset are visible. Haldon Belvedere, also known as Lawrence Castle is a Grade II* listed triangular tower originally built in 1788 by Sir Robert Palk as the centre piece to his vast estates and dedicated to the memory of Major-General Stringer Lawrence the founder of the Indian army. You can find us by turning off the A38 at the Exeter Racecourse exit and following the Tourist signs for Haldon Belvedere. Some 2 miles from the A38 you will come to a junction named Haldon Gate. The drive leading to the castle is on the right a few metres beyond this junction. The entrance to the carpark is on the right just before the gates leading to the drive. Visitors should use the designated carpark but coaches will require to use the parking splay at Haldon Gate junction. CONFERENCES AND FUNCTIONS Haldon Belvedere is available for private functions, corporate entertaining or for that very special launch or event. Because of Health and Safety issues, the preparation of hot food within the building itself is not possible but a buffet style reception is possible for a maximum of 45 people. We have designated caterers who have a range of menus to suit all tastes. To maintain quality and hygiene requirements, hirers are not permitted to provide their own catering or bring in caterers other than our designated caterers.
