Heritage: The Peveril Centre is a working Methodist Chapel. It was built in 1898 and has been a place of worship for many decades with beautiful stained glass windows and oak doors. It is a place of tranquility but also being in the heart of Castleton it is a place of hustle and bustle, a great stop off for walkers, ramblers and tourists alike Vision: In 2012 the Castleton Chapel Trustees had a vision to see their chapel used not only as a worship centre each Sunday but also used by the community and visitors throughout the week. They have worked to transform, whilst retaining its striking features to make it fit for old and new purposes alike. Values: It is important to the Chapel congregation that all visitors get a warm welcome to the Peveril Centre, and get every opportunity to enjoy true refreshment and recreation - the beauty and tranquility of the Peak District, the grandeur of the mountains surrounding Castleton, the bustle and activities of a lively village. We hope you enjoy! Choice of Conference Rooms: - Larger conference room holding up to 100. - Smaller conference room holding up to 40. - Can be set up in Theatre or Banquet style. - Break out room. • Country house
    • ·30 attendees
    • ·3 meeting rooms

Eyam Hall has been the home of the Wright family for over 300 years. We opened it to the public in 1992, but it retains the intimate atmosphere of a much loved private home. Few houses offer such character and charm as Eyam Hall. Under the watchful gaze of the Wright ancestors' portraits you will visit the beautiful stone flagged hall, a unique tapestry room, the bedroom with a magnificent tester bed. Other rooms reveal costumes belonging to family members, precious artefacts and fascinating family mementos. Observant visitors may even come across the ghostly apparition of Sarah Mills, a young servant girl, who drowned herself in the well and still answers the night bell! The walled garden, now open to the public, is nearing the end of a restoration project and visitors can delight in the knot garden, the avenue of espaliered apple trees and the rose walk. CONFERENCES In the heart of the Peak District Eyam Hall is ideally situated for a small day conference or group meeting. Delegates cannot fail to be inspired by the beautiful surroundings in the Hall itself and the gardens. The meeting rooms at Eyam Hall are the hall which is suited to theatre style seating for up to 30 delegates and the dining room and drawing room for smaller group meetings. All three rooms are on the ground floor and are easily accessible. Lunch is served in the Gallery room, an attractive 17th century converted barn.
