    John Charles centre for sport combines world class sports facilities with spectacular hospitality opportunities. Facilities are available to cater for intimate groups up to large events for 2,400 people in the events space. There are three meeting rooms available set out in boardroom style. All rooms are equipped with an overhead projector, flip chart stand, stationery, and tripod screen. A PA system and other specialist equipment is also available on request. The two function rooms are ideal for larger events and can accommodate buffet lunches alongside your event.     Ideally situated in the peaceful Cotswold countryside, only 20 minutes from both the M4 and M5, the Corinium Stadium is the ideal venue for conferences and events. The Stadium boasts three conference suites, two fully licensed bars, individual washroom facilities, excellent free parking and disabled access throughout. The Boardroom An excellent facility offering views over the pitch, providing a comfortable setting for smaller meetings. This room is used especially by clubs and societies, for committee or trustee meetings, additionally as an intimate venue for interviews, ‘workshops,’ or for training ‘break out’ groups with up to 16 attendees. Catering and refreshments are available for a minimum of two persons The Barbican Suite A rectangular shaped room accommodating up to 100 seated/standing. This suite has its own private entrance, bar and washroom facilities. It is ideal for meetings, conferences and presentation evenings. This suite is fully licensed for the provision of entertainment such as disco’s, bands or speakers with a small dance floor. The Centurion Suite A large ‘L’ shaped room accommodating up to 145 seated or 200 standing.     Glanford Park got built in the 1980s to replace Scunthorpe’s Old Show Ground. It was the first new English Football League stadium to be built since Southend’s Roots Hall in 1955. First plans called to incorporate the Old Show Ground’s cantilever stand, the first cantilever stand to be built in England. However, a move of the old stand turned out to be not feasible. Glanford Park officially opened on 14 August 1988 with a friendly between a Scunthorpe XI and a Football League XI. The stadium got its name from Glanford Borough Council who had financed the stadium. The stadium came at a cost of £2.5 million. In 2014, Scunthorpe started investigating moving to a new stadium, however plans were dropped again in 2017 and the club is now looking to redevelop Glanford Park.
