Waverley The Waverley Suite, situated on the ground floor, has large windows along one side of the wall with views of The Old Town and Arthur's Seat. Suitable for up to 70 guests theatre style, 40 guests in "U" shape seating or up to 60 guests for a dinner. The Waverley adjoins the Holyrood Suite and can be used either as a syndicate room or for pre-dinner drinks. Princes The Princes Suite faces directly onto one of Europe's most famous thoroughfares, Princes Street. Natural daylight is provided by the vast windows, which stretch two sides of the room. A magnificent fireplace along with original chandeliers and beautiful cornicing provide a regal setting, suitable for a variety of occasions, including 120 guests for cocktails and 60 people theatre-style. The Second Floor of The Balmoral offers six stunning banqueting rooms, which all face Edinburgh Castle.     The Merchants’ Hall is a beautiful A-listed building in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, which provides a distinguished and impressive location for events. With just two rooms (plus an anti-room) The Merchants’ Hall can be hired exclusively if both rooms are booked. The Hall, with its magnificent domed ceiling provides an exceptional setting to host all types of events, from conferences to drinks receptions to private dining events, including weddings. The mahogany-panelled Court Room is an elegant area for smaller numbers with portraits by Raeburn and Ramsay adorning the rich crimson walls. Catering is offered via a group of preferred catering professionals, who can create menus and packages for all tastes and budgets. Having exclusive use means both the venue and catering staff concentrate their full attention on the guests, thus ensuring the smooth running of each event. The venue staff usually book conference catering on behalf of clients. The Merchants’ Hall is the head-quarters of one of Edinburgh’s oldest and most prestigious business organisations – The Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh, thus ensuring the building is well maintained and is in secure hands. Until recently it was used exclusively by The Company’s Members, but now is available to be enjoyed by all on a private basis.
