    The Fountain Room is a stunning marquee structure that can hold up to 500 guests for a range of exceptional winter events. From daytime conferences, to drinks receptions and awards dinner, the Fountain Room is a beautiful blank canvas able to be transofrmed from day to night with the greatest of ease. The front of the venue boasts a beautiful festoon lit fountain, and with the interior draped in white showcases the state of the art lighting facilities.     Taking a Brutalist building in King's Cross and turning it into a £20 million five star boutique hotel with 270 bedrooms, the Standard London is the first hotel from the well known boutique chain outside America. The former council office block, originally built in the 1970s as an annexe to Camden Town Hall, sits directly opposite St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. The whole building is being upgraded but the biggest change is to the top floors. Clad in metal and glass, the two top levels are transformed into an architectural feature and include hotel rooms and suites, public and private event spaces, dining area, lounge and observatory with public access. An external lift whisks guests from the ground up to the 8th floor.

Our "Party Rooms" are large, contemporary spaces designed by Gage Interiors in 2005. They are ideally suited to events of up to 500 people (for an exclusive hire). There is also a wonderful private garden which links to the Party Rooms which can hold up to 50 guests. General Manager Shelly Curtis managed all events at The Groucho Club in Soho prior to joining us last year. You will find a friendly but efficient team. Our a la carte and event food consists of eclectic European dishes influenced by Italian and modern British classics. You will also discover our prices to be highly reasonable. We have an excellent team of chefs who are passionately devoted to creating real dishes that taste quite simply delicious. Our food is presented refectory style, with shared starters of fresh charcuterie, cheeses, pickled vegetables and breads served on rustic wooden boards.
