    Welcome to Ashton Court Mansion - Bristol’s Premier Conference and Banqueting centre. Ashton Court Mansion dominates a fabulous 850acre country estate only five minutes drive from Bristol’s vibrant and cosmopolitan waterfront bars and restaurants. The estate is a short distance from the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and well situated for the M4 & M5 motorways, with regional road and rail networks providing links to all major cities. The unique and stylish conference rooms are sunny and south facing, with views towards the city. They provide perfect surroundings for meetings, dinners, product launches, and exhibitions. The Music Room offers space for up to 250 delegates theatre style or 120 cabaret style. Smaller parties of up to 60 theatre style,or 40 cabaret style can be accommodated in the Panelled Lounges. The mansion is also available for exclusive hire all year round, and whilst offering a perfect setting for formal occasions, with a touch of creativity and a little flexibility, we’re also one of the city’s best venues for corporate activities, family fun days, summer buffets, BBQ’s or presentation events. During the summer months, the mansion becomes a perfect backdrop for open-air concerts and festivals. Marquees can be adjoined to the southern façade or built on a separate site; add a fairground ride and fireworks and your party is complete! But the mansion really comes to life in December, when the halls are decked with holly and ivy, creating a truly traditional setting for a ‘cracker’ of a Christmas party. Smaller groups of 10 or more are welcome to buy tables at our ‘join a party’ nights, or parties of 80 or more can book exclusively Fantastic Food & Drink The menus at Ashton Court have been specially created by our executive chef. Everything is carefully prepared and cooked on-site, and whether your event is a small family celebration, a company dinner, or an executive conference, we offer top class food on every occasion. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, and the dishes on our current menus represent only a small selection of those our chefs are able to prepare, so if you have any specific requirements, we will be delighted to discuss them with you. THE MUSIC ROOM The Music Room is located on the south side of the mansion; it adjoins the Winter Garden Bar and Vaulted Hall, and offers direct access to the south lawn. Although Gothic in style, the room has plenty of natural daylight, with shutters available for blackout purposes. Disabled access is good - the rooms are on ground level. Single and 3 phase power, telephone points an in-house PA system and Wi Fi are also available within the hire terms. THE PANELLED LOUNGES The Panelled Lounges offer a southerly aspect, and adjoin the Inner and Great Halls. The rooms are light and airy with a Georgian influence, they attract plenty of natural daylight, with shutters available for blackout purposes. Disabled access is good - the rooms are on ground level. Single phase power and Wi Fi are available within the hire terms.

    Oddly enough the name Quakers Friars says it all; These buildings started life as a Dominican Friary, were handed over to the Bristol Guilds, only to be bought by the Bristol Quaker community before finally becoming Bristol’s Registry Office. The Dominicans established the friary outside the city wall in the early 13th century, the Dominicans known as “black friars” due to their black hoods remained there till the 16th century when following a few marital problems Henry VIII closed the Monastry. The buildings were then converted to simple accommodation before the Bristol Guilds took them over from 1499 till the late seventeen hundreds. After that came a long and glorious residency by the Quakers who not only built the two meeting halls on the site but also built the “modern” structure now connecting Bakers and Cutlers. The two halls are all that are left of the original quadrangle, the connecting building dates back to only the 18th century. It is thought that they would have originally been the library and the dormitory.
