The Stukeleys Country Hotel is situated in the village of Great Stukeley which sits astride Ermine Street, the old Roman road built between London and Lincoln in the 1st century AD.
Legend has it that Dick Turpin, the infamous 18th century highwayman, once plied his trade along this route. The hotel has its origins in a 16th century farmhouse and an inn has reputedly stood on the site from earliest times.
