    The National Coal Mining Museum for England, nestled in the hills of West Yorkshire, is a unique seventeen-acre rural site offering excellent facilities for daytime and evening events. The Museum site with its historic colliery buildings dates back to the early 19th Century. Exhibitions and displays where the story of coal is brought to life and the underground tour make it an outstanding location, ideal for all types events. The Museum’s conference facilities have been designed to offer maximum flexibility for large and small functions. The Caphouse Suite has a seating capacity of up to 210 delegates and can be divided into three with acoustic partitions. Each room offers the very latest in high-tech visual presentational aids. Excellent catering facilities and a fully licensed bar are available to cater for all the needs of delegates. The newest addition is the development of corporate adventure days. These have been specifically designed around a mining theme and concentrate on team building, problem solving and communication skills. Also available on site is the 140 metre underground tour that explores the hidden world of coal; surface attractions include exhibitions, models and machinery, pit ponies, nature trail, Victorian steam winder, pit head baths and gift shop. The Museum is ideally situated, 7 miles from Junctions 38 and 40 of the M1 and 10 miles from Junction 29 of the M62, making it easily accessible to the whole of the North of England and London. There is free car parking on site. The nearest main-line rail station is Wakefield Westgate.

    Our two Conference venues are situated within the Yorkshire Museum and Museum Gardens, just 10 minutes’ walk from York Railway Station. The Museum, which dates back to the 1830s, is home to countless archaeological treasures, and the beautiful botanical gardens house the striking ruins of St Mary’s Abbey. The Tempest Anderson Hall, an auditorium seating up to 300, is situated within the Museum, and The Hospitium, our two-storey 14th century building, is situated a couple of minutes’ walk away in the gardens. Many conference clients choose to hire both venues, often using the Tempest Anderson Hall for their main conference presentations and the Hospitium for workshops and/or lunch. We have a variety of delegate packages available, which include refreshments and AV equipment and which can all be tailored to suit your requirements.

    Trinity Arts Centre is a multi-functional building committed to servicing the West Lindsey District community. The building itself is a converted gothic church still with its original features and a bar open for shows and film screenings where you can sit with a drink and soak up the charming architecture and art in the bar by local talented artists. The Auditorium and Vestry are both available for hire. The Auditorium is a 200-seater with slide and film capabilities, PA system, disabled access to the stage and front row and induction loop for hearing aid users. While the Vestry is a smaller room which can accomodate up to 50 people depending on the lay out of your event. OHP and flip charts available by arrangement. Hirers are welcome to use their own caterers - arrangements to be agreed. Our licensed bar is also available.

    The Hall is conveniently located in the city centre of historic York. It is a 15 minute walk to the York railway station, or 5 minute walk of several car parks. It is an impressive and unique venure appropriate for many Corporate events. Banquets The Hall makes an excellent setting for corporate dinners, to celebrate with your staff or impress partners and clients. Begin with a silver service dinner in the Great Hall, followed by a drinks reception and entertainment in the Undercroft. Conferences Presentations can be done in the Great Hall with the Undercroft being used as a breakaway space, for seperate meetings, refreshments and lunch. You can even follow the event with a closing dinner in the Great Hall (allow 1-2 hours for resetting the venue before dinner). Lectures Hold your lecture in the impressive Great Hall, and start or finish with reception drinks in the Undercroft. Trade Shows & Exhibitions These can last from 1 day to 2 weeks, as time allows, and can use the Great Hall and Undercroft or only the Undercroft. Meetings Looking for a convenient and impressive meeting space in the centre of York? Our Great Hall or Undercroft are excellent for larger groups (from 40-180) while our Committee Room is appropriate for small gatherings (up to 20).

    Leeds Industrial Museum is housed in Armley Mills, a magnificent Georgian building, set between the River Aire and the Leeds Liverpool Canal - the perfect venue for holding corporate functions. Conference Room: The Conference Room is a quality meeting space complete with blackout facilities, access to television and video facilities and a breakout area for refreshments.     Situated within the beautiful surroundings of the Wharfe Valley, one of Ilkley's oldest buildings, the Manor House, has been converted into an attractive museum and art gallery. On the ground floor visitors are given a glimpse into Ilkley's past while the first floor galleries provide the venue for a regularly changing programme of temporary exhibitions. While being a major exhibit in itself, the Manor House also stands on the remains of the Roman fort of Olicana. Only a short section of defensive wall remains exposed at the back of the building, but Roman artefacts from the fort and surrounding area are on permanent display inside the Manor House, together with prehistoric artefacts and information about the development of Ilkley as a Victorian spa town.
