This really is a stunning country venue with extensive private grounds, including ornamental lakes, medieval gardens and blue woods, stretching down over a nature reserve. We hire out our magnificent 17th century Kentish barn, which seats up to 120 people on round banqueting tables, (probably more on long tables), for charity balls and other events. The Kenitsh barn is heated with amenities such as tea and coffee facilities, luxury W.C's, loads of on site, private parking etc. There is plenty of great accommodation very close by. Set in the heart of the Kentish countryside, yet within easy distance from London. Great transport links to London and the rest of the UK, by train, bus or road. Only an hour from Calais, France and the rest of Europe. We can provide delegate lunches, seated three course meals or hot or cold buffets. We also provide all the banqueting furniture.

The De La Warr Pavilion reopened to the public on 15 October 2005 after an £8 million restoration and refurbishment project. It is the principal centre for contemporary art, architecture, education and entertainment on the south coast. Venue hire Commissioned by the 9th Earl De La Warr in 1935 and designed by architects Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff, the De La Warr Pavilion was the UK‘s first public building built in the Modernist style. Pioneering in structure as it was in spirit, the purpose of this steel and concrete Pavilion was to provide accessible culture and leisure for the people of Bexhill and beyond and so regenerate the economy of the town and the surrounding area. Seventy years later, an £8 million restoration and redevelopment project has enabled the De La Warr Pavilion to fulfil its original ambitions whilst creating new aspirations for the building and its visitors. The Commissioner’s House is the oldest intact naval building in Great Britain. The house was built for Captain Geroge St Lo, on he site of an earlier residence built in 1640. On arrival in 1703, St Lo complained that the Chatham residence was a poor substitute for his previous lodging and successfully petitioned for a new house. The house’s most attractive internal feature is a painted ceiling depicting an assembly of the gods, taken from the Great Cabin of HMS Royal Sovereign. Today the Commissioner’s House is still on site and is used for weddings and events. The garden behind it is open to the public to explore! Originally the garden incorporated one of Britain’s earliest Italianate water gardens. You can see the Edwardian glasshouse with a great vine, an 18th century ice house and a 17th century mulberry tree still to this day!
