    The Bear at Hodnet is a 16th century coaching inn offering a wide range of facilities for private and corporate guests. The building has the enticing character of a bygone age whilst providing the comforts and amenities of the 21st century. To make your visit even more special there is a friendly ghost called Jasper and a former Bear Pit with secret passages leading to the village church and Hodnet Hall. There are two meeting rooms. Our main room can accommodate up to 90 people with a stage at one end and bar at the other.     This venue is the oldest building in Bridgnorth dating from circa 1392. It is a two storey venue with a licenced bar on each floor. The ground floor is a large room with a stage complete with amp and speakers, a dance floor and there is access to ladies and men’s toilets. There is a TV available on the ground floor. The large, enclosed beer garden with a covered area, a large, covered stage and outside bar can be accessed either through this room or via a side entrance. There is a permanent TV outside in addition to a temporary large screen TV housed on the stage. Half of the garden is to lawn and half is to hard standing There is also a temporary marquee available The kitchen is also on the ground floor. The upper floor can be accessed by a separate staircase in the foyer of the building and also by a staircase in the ground floor room. It is characterful with crook beams towards the front. There is a three quarter size snooker table, a pool table, two match darts boards, gaming machines and has a large projector screen and another two large screen Tvs.

    The National Resource Centre can be used in a multitude of ways as we have the scope to make our rooms as versatile as possible. The main area on Floor 4 of the venue can host 160 people in one sitting in many different set ups this space can also be broken down with our soundproof walls between rooms into each room taking between 15-60 delegates depending on layout. We also have 4 smaller meetings rooms that are suitable for between 8-15 delegates. There is a 5th floor facility that can hold 50 people in various layouts with AV, flip chart, tea and coffee making facilities. All of our rooms have Audio visual either through smart screen TV in our main areas or projectors in our smaller rooms.
