    The University of Manchester Conferences and Venues offers a range of AIM accredited venues in truly inspiring Nobel Prize winning surroundings the place where the atom was split, the computer conceived, and wonder material Graphene discovered. Events can be accommodated throughout the year at a number of our venues, including Manchester Meeting Place and Barnes Wallis buildings, seating from 6 boardroom to 200 theatre style, the stunning neo-Gothic Whitworth Building with boardrooms for smaller meetings or the Whitworth Hall for dinners and receptions, as well as our 3 star Chancellors Hotel, providing 72 bedrooms and 9 meeting rooms, for up 130 delegates. With easy access by road and rail, yet only twenty minutes walk from the Castle and Cathedral at the historic centre of Durham City, Collingwood is the newest College of Durham University, and offers you first class eating, meeting areas and (in vacations) accommodation. We also offer a bed and breakfast service, convenient for your holiday in Northumbria and the North East whether on an individual or group basis. Day Conferences The purpose built conference centre at Collingwood is the ideal venue to hold your conferences, meetings and training courses. The Penthouse suite is available throughout the year and can cater for up to 180 delegates. The Dales Suite is also available throughout the year and has capacity for 40 delegates Delegate rates are available, including our new executive meetings package. Accommodation The accommodation offered by Collingwood is of a high quality with a three diamond English Tourism Council rating. It is value for money, with rooms available to suit all budgets. Collingwood is located one mile from the centre of Durham. All the rooms are situated within the college and offer a peaceful setting. There is a variety of accommodation, with over 200 en-suite rooms available, each with a private shower, toilet and hand basin, built-in wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities and radio alarm clocks. Sixteen of these en-suite rooms are twin occupancy and a further nine are adapted for wheelchair users. Another 300 comfortable single bedrooms are available, which are fully carpeted, centrally heated with their own wash basin. Showers and toilets are conveniently located on each floor along with kitchenettes with microwaves. For guests requiring easy access, ground floor rooms in both en-suite and standard rooms are available on request. All rooms have bed linen (duvets) and towels provided in all rooms, throughout your stay, with the rooms are serviced daily. There is free car parking on site for over 130 cars and coach parking is available, with a turning circle at the entrance available for guests easy access.

    In addition to offering residential accommodation to groups, Repton Enterprises Ltd also offers venues ideal for private functions from weddings to concerts. The following are available for hire at Repton School: - Pears' School, built in 1886 commemorates the schools second founder, Steuart Adolphus Pears. With beautiful stained glass windows, oak panelling and a hammer-beam roof it also has kitchen facilities and therefore is an ideal venue for large-scale receptions, balls or concerts and will seat 500 or 220 with tables. - 400 Hall was built as the school theatre to commemorate is 400th Anniversary. It has a very small kitchenette and toilet facilities for disabled users. Wedding receptions and dinners can be held in 400 Hall, which will seat 150 with tables. - Beldam Hall is situated in the music school and is an ideal venue for concerts and plays for audiences of up to 200. It may also be hired for rehearsals. - The Garth is a beautiful, secluded, peaceful and dignified garden. It was originally the cloistered garden for the Augustininan monks who practised at Repton Abbey and is now a war memorial to the Schools fallen in modern conflict. Photographs and pre-reception drinks also take place in the Garth. - Tanyard Pavilion is situated in the sports complex. It is a practical, well situated venue for smaller functions with adequate parking, kitchen and toilet facilities. Price of hire includes use of tables, chairs and the kitchen and will seat 100 for small parties or dinners. Classrooms are traditional with desks chairs and white board and will seat around 20. - A Marquee pitch at Foremarke Hall is available for Wedding receptions.
