Banquets The Hall makes an excellent setting for corporate dinners, to celebrate with your staff or impress partners and clients. Begin with a silver service dinner in the Great Hall, followed by a drinks reception and entertainment in the Undercroft. Conferences Presentations can be done in the Great Hall with the Undercroft being used as a breakaway space, for seperate meetings, refreshments and lunch. You can even follow the event with a closing dinner in the Great Hall (allow 1-2 hours for resetting the venue before dinner). Lectures Hold your lecture in the impressive Great Hall, and start or finish with reception drinks in the Undercroft. Trade Shows & Exhibitions These can last from 1 day to 2 weeks, as time allows, and can use the Great Hall and Undercroft or only the Undercroft. Meetings Looking for a convenient and impressive meeting space in the centre of York? Our Great Hall or Undercroft are excellent for larger groups (from 40-180) while our Committee Room is appropriate for small gatherings (up to 20).

Many conference clients choose to hire both venues, often using the Tempest Anderson Hall for their main conference presentations and the Hospitium for workshops and/or lunch.
